Anniston man arrested on Kidnapping charge

A 26 year old Anniston man has been charged with felony first degree kidnapping after leading police on a chase Sunday afternoon. Police say that Donald Dewayne Gooden Jr., crashed his car near 64th Street and Gallatin Drive as he was being pursued by weaver police. Police say that after the wreck, Gooden flagged down a 31-year-old woman and got into the backseat of her car. The victim did not know Gooden. Gooden yelled at the woman to drive, and directed her to stop near the Weaver High School. Anniston and Weaver police found the suspect outside a home on Clairmont Dr. in Weaver. Gooden was apprehended at the scene. Gooden is being held in the Anniston city jail.
