Anniston extends city manager search



While the Anniston city council has been working on the cities new budget, they have also been searching for a new city manager.  The city council has now decided to extending the deadline  in a search for a new manager to replace retiring city manager Don Hoyt.   Mayor Vaughn Stewart says the council wants to increase the number of applications for the job .  The council has now extended the deadline to submit applications to July 13th.  To help entice more candidates, the city is also extending the salary range for the position to a maximum of $150,000 a year.  Under Anniston’s council-manager form of government, the City Council hires the city manager, who has the power to hire other city employees. The only other appointment the council makes is for municipal judge.  .

  1. A change in city manager can be a big help. JJ Murphy Hobbs NM did wonders for the city of NM. I remember all of the great help for people that came about.
