Etowah commission decides to transfer ferry property to the City of Hokes Bluff



The Etowah county commission today reversed their decision to auction off the old Hokes Bluff Ferry property.  Commission Chairman Joey Statum said they will be deeding the property to the city of Hokes Bluff..  The chairman said the transfer will allow the city to develop the property into a park with some stipulations. The county commission had earlier voted to auction off the property after selling the ferry months earlier.
