Boys and Girls Club cutbacks leaves void in youth summer activities in Gadsden

Recent cutbacks and closing of boys and girls club activities in the Gadsden area has left many kids without summer camps and activities.  The Gadsden city council and the cities recreation department is working to fill the gap.  Recreation department representative Diane Short told the city council Tuesday that  they have been worked to expand services to take up the slack.  Parents can contact the recreation department offices at 256-549-4680 to learn more about summer youth activities as well as other programs available for all citizens in the city.
