Crews clearing train derailment in Talladega



Crews worked thruout the night to remove train cars that derailed Tuesday afternoon on Bemiston Ave. in Talladega.  Officials say that there were not injures or release of any toxic substances as a result of the derailment.  The derailed train belonged to CSX Railroad, but the track belonged to East Alabama Railroad. The cause of the accident is The derailed train cars appeared to be carrying marble dust and limestone slurry from Sylacauga. Cranes were on site to begin removing the derailed cars Tuesday night, and officials say the roadway should be clear by this morning.
