Anniston polilce investigate theft of collectable doll

Anniston police are investigating the theft of a collectable doll from an Anniston residence over the weekend.   An Anniston  man reported his James Brown collectable doll was stolen from his home Saturday night.  Police say that someone entered the victim’s house on West 20th Street around 8:10 p.m. through the living room window.  Police say the victim’s neighbor saw the suspect exiting the house through the front door with the doll .  The victim told police the suspect was an acquaintance of his. The victim said he allowed her to occasionally stay with him, but that she did not live with him.  Captain Alan George said if someone enters the residence of someone whom they have been involved with and takes from them it is classified as domestic violence. The doll is valued at $500. The victim said Saturday he will press charges against the suspect, who could face felony charges of domestic violence in the second degree.
