Crossville woman arrested on drug and theft charges



Investigators in Dekalb county have arrested 35 year old Denise Marie McGathey of Crossville in connection with a drug and stolen property case.  DeKalb County Sheriff's Office investigators went to her home on County Road 370 where sheriffs department Investigators and Crossville Police officers were doing a follow-up on a recent burglary.  During that investigation they found drugs and drug paraphernalia in the house.  Officers also found a large assortment of knives and coins which were reported stolen.  McGathey was arrested and charged with 2 counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Additional charges may be brought concerning the coins and knives.  Anyone with information about the thefts of these items is asked to call the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office  investigator craig white at (256) 845-3801.
