Another elected official in Calhoun County has decided to
make the switch to the republican party.
After 17 years serving as a Democrat, Calhoun County Sheriff Larry
Amerson announced friday he’s changing sides. Amerson says he plans to switch
to the Republican party in next year’s race for the office. The sheriff said he
will meet with the Calhoun County Republican party on Monday.
