Gadsden woman robbed in Anniston

Anniston police are investigating the reported robbery of a Gadsden Woman at a downtown Anniston fast food restaurant.  Two men allegedly stole $160 from a Gadsden woman Monday after she attempted to buy a cellphone from the suspects.  Police say the 31-year-old victim made arrangements on the Internet to meet a man selling his cellphone. The woman and suspect used Facebook to communicate and arranged to meet Monday afternoon at the McDonald’s parking lot on Quintard Avenue.  Two men arrived in the parking lot, and the woman looked at the cellphone.  Shortly after, one of the suspects snatched the phone and $160 out of the woman’s hand, and the men fled.  The woman was not injured during the incident, and police say the theft was still under investigation today.
