Jury selection begins monday in murder of Anniston police officer

Joshua Russell
Jury selection is set to begin Monday in Lee county for the trial of a 26 year old Anniston man accused in the 2011 murder of an Anniston police officer. Prosecutors say Joshua Russell  shot officer Justin Sollohub in the head during a foot chase in August 2011. Sollohub, died a short time later in a Birmingham hospital.  Russell was transferred from the Etowah County Jail to a facility in Lee County Friday morning.  The trial was moved to Lee County because attorneys did not think they could find unbiased jurors without previous knowledge of the case. The judge said he expects opening arguments to begin Tuesday morning.
