Suspects sought in Gadsden home invasion robbery

Gadsden police say that Two Gadsden men were injured and were robbed of $4,000 during a Tuesday night home-invasion robbery. Police were called to the home on Fillmore Avenue where they found a 53-year-old man bleeding from the head and a 34-year-old man shot several times in his right leg.  The older man said they both were sitting on the couch at his home, watching TV, when two men in ski masks barged in and demanded money. One of the men had a handgun and the other had a rifle.  When the two men said they didn’t have any money, one of the robbers opened fire on the 34-year-old, hitting him in the right upper thigh and calf. The other robber grabbed the older man by his hair and struck him several times in the head with the gun. After the shooting and beating, the robbers stole $500 from the older man’s wallet and $3,500 from underneath the sofa the men were sitting on.
