Gadsden detectives arrested a Gadsden man Monday after
receiving a tip that he was in possession of stolen property.
19 year old Damaja Tyre Adair, was arrested and charged with second-degree
receiving stolen property in connection with the theft of a Winchester 375
rifle, and on a warrant for third-degree burglary in an unrelated case.
Police received information regarding the location of the
stolen rifle and made contact with Adair, who told officers where to find the rifle
in his home. Adair claimed he bought the rifle from someone else for
$120.
