Two dead in Ft. Payne Crash

Authorities in  Fort Payne report the wednesday morning death of two men in a fiery on vehicle crash.  Authorities say the crash occurred just after midnite tuesday night.
The driver of the truck, 23 year old Miguel Jose Jr., of Fort Payne, was taken by DeKalb Ambulance Service to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., where he died. The passenger in the truck,  24 year  old Antonio Martin, of Fort Payne, was transported by DeKalb Ambulance Service to DeKalb Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the two Hispanic males were traveling south on Gault Avenue and tried to make a turn onto Eighth Street NE. The driver apparently lost control of the truck, and got off the road into a undeveloped parking lot area, with gravel and loose earth. The truck ended up going into a deep ditch and somehow caught fire.
Police were on the scene within 90 seconds of the call and started trying to put out the fire with fire extinguishers
. Firefighters arrived 2 minutes later, but the truck was engulfed in flames by the time they got there.
