Two charged in Attalla home invasion robbery

Attalla police have arrested two men on robbery charges and say they expect to arrest more.  Investigators believe that two men who claimed to be victims of a home invasion-type robbery Sept. 1 actually had conspired to set up the victim in the incident.  19 year old Bryant Eugene Clark, and 17 year old Justice Jones, both of Rainbow City, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree burglary and second-degree theft.  Jones was charged as an adult because of the serious nature of the crime.  On Sept. 1, investigators say, two young men went to the home of a handicapped man in Bradley Apartments on Gilbert’s Ferry Road in Attalla, allegedly just to visit. While they were there, there was a knock on the door and someone asked who was there, and opened the door a crack.  Three men forced their way in and ordered everyone in the residence on the floor. At least one of the men was armed, and they took a small amount of money, the resident’s cellphone, wallet and medication.  Investigators said the two men visiting the victim had been arrested in November for their alleged involvement in the robbery of a man at Bradley Park Apartments in Attalla.
