Man charged with attempted murder

Rainbow City police have charged a man with attempted murder after shots were fired Friday morning at an apartment house.

34 year old Jamichael Stevenson Fleming,  of Rainbow City, is in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.

Rainbow City Police responded at about 11 a.m. Friday to a report of a disturbance with shots fired at South Town Apartments.

Officers encountered Fleming in the parking lot and took him into custody without incident. Investigators worked taking statements and evidence, including video evidence of the offense, which led them to obtain an attempted murder warrant. The warrant was served late Friday afternoon.
