Hearings rescheduled for Jacksonville man charged with murder

A Judge in  Calhoun County judge  set a bond reduction hearing Monday and rescheduled a preliminary hearing for a Jacksonville man charged with beating his girlfriend to death last month.
37 year old Richard Thad Pilkington,  was arrested on Aug. 17 and charged with killing 48 year old Tracey Callaway Strange,  of Jacksonville.
District Judge Chris McIntyre set both the bond reduction hearing and preliminary hearing for Friday. Pilkington’s preliminary hearing had been set for Monday.
Police said that both Pilkington and Strange were living with friends at a mobile home on  Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest in Jacksonville.
Police allege Pilkington used his hands and feet to beat Strange. She was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma at 4 a.m. Aug. 17 at Regional Medical Center Jacksonville.
Pilkington was being held in the Calhoun County Jail Monday. His bond is set at $500,000.
