Glencoe officer injured in head on collision



Authorities report that a Glencoe police officer was injured in a head-on collision in Southside while working on a case Monday afternoon.
The officer was treated for lacerations and broken bones, but was released from the emergency room Monday night.
The officer was traveling on Pilgrim’s Rest Road in Southside when another vehicle apparently came into his lane and struck his vehicle head-on, in the area of Mayflower Lane.
 Southside police investigated the accident.
