Attalla woman arrested on child abuse charges

Boaz police have arrested an Attalla woman in connection with an incident of child abuse that allegedly occurred years ago, and only recently came to light.

34 year old Melissa May Duncan,  was charged in connection with an alleged choking incident involving a young girl. Police said the child was not seriously injured.

The allegation was investigated through the Department of Human Resources.
