Four held on Attempted murder of Altoona man

Etowah county Authorities say four people have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of an Altoona man.
43-year-old Brian Adam Maloy of Boaz and 36-year-old Lindsey Michelle Warren, 43-year-old Ann Marie Dyer/Hahn and 33-year old Eric Lee George - all of Altoona - were all arrested and each are facing attempted murder charges in addition to kidnapping and robbery charges.
Each of the suspects are currently in custody at the Etowah County Detention center. Bond for each was set at $150,000.
According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, abuse against the unidentified victim began after the man allegedly began an argument about a stolen purse. Entrekin says the incident took place at several locations in the Altoona area on Sunday, December 7.
Authorities say the victim was bound and repeatedly beaten with a bat-like object. They also say the four people charged stole his cell phone and the cash that was in the victim's possession.
The victim was eventually able to escape the attack and went to a nearby residence where he sought help. He was transported to a Birmingham hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home.
