Suspects arrested in Jacksonville Robberies



Two men were arrested Tuesday in connection with two armed robberies in Jacksonville in recent weeks.
23 year old Adriel Devon Askew, of Jacksonville, and 23 year old Thomas Quindarious Phillips, of Jacksonville, were arrested Tuesday, charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.
Jacksonville police said that two men robbed a clerk at the StarMart on Nisbett Street at gunpoint on November 26th.. investigators believe those same two men robbed a clerk at the SAMCO station on Pelham Road on Dec. 10.
A third man was also arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of first-degree robbery in connection with the two robberies. After further interviews with the man, police believe he was not involved with the crimes and charges against him were dropped.
Phillips was released Tuesday from the Jacksonville City Jail after posting a $60,000 bond.
Askew was in the Calhoun County Jail on Tuesday afternoon. His bond was set at $60,000.
