Calhoun county to use grant for Elder Abuse training

Calhoun County officials say they're planning to use a three-year $250,000 grant to address elder abuse.  According to Callhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson  the grant from the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Violence against Women will be used to train law enforcement officials to help identify and prevent elder abuse.
Local domestic violence victim's advocacy group, 2nd Chance Inc. is the grant recipient and is organizing the training.
