A Vincent man has been charged with the Monday morning
murder of a Childersburg man who died after being shot in the midsection with a
12-gauge shotgun. 26 year old Clifton Garynell Roberson, was charged it the
death of 29 year old Steven Twymon, of, Childersburg. Police were called to the pool hall on Third
St. S.W. in Childersburg at about 1 a.m. Monday, and found Twymon had been shot
with bird shot. Police Chief Doug Wesson said Twymon died at the scene. Wesson said The men had apparently fought
over a woman. According to the Talladega
County Sheriff’s Department website, Robertson is being held in the Talladega
County Jail.
