The Etowah county commission today reversed their decision
to auction off the old Hokes Bluff Ferry property. Commission Chairman Joey Statum said they
will be deeding the property to the city of Hokes Bluff.. The chairman said the transfer will allow the city
to develop the property into a park with some stipulations. The county commission had earlier voted to
auction off the property after selling the ferry months earlier.
