Pell City man charged with Murder in death of his sister

Police in Pell City have arrested a 30 year old man in connection with the killing of his sister early Wednesday morning.  Police were called Around 3 a.m. Wednesday  to check on the welfare of someone in the Housing Authority apartments on 31st Street North.  Inside the apartment, officers found the body of 29-year-old Lindsay Michelle Love. The coroner is still trying to determine the cause of death.  Pell City Police Sgt. Don Newton described the crime scene as "brutal and graphic." Love's toddler-age child was in the apartment at the time of the killing, but was unharmed. The toddler is now in the care of relatives. Police say they gathered enough evidence to arrest Lindsay Love's brother, Brett Christopher Love, in connection to the crime.

Love is in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
