A scheduled 5 day suspension for Gadsden Police Chief John
Crane by the Civil Service Board for his
relationship with murderer Justin Denson is now on hold pending the outcome an
appeal of the board’s decision to circuit court.
Crane was ordered suspended June 12 for 15 days, with 10 of
them being held in abeyance, after the board ruled on a complaint filed by Joy
Bates, niece of Nita Denson. He was supposed to serve the other five during the
last five working days of June.
