Etowah county woman says 8 year old son abducted and released

An Etowah county woman says her 8 year old son was forcibly abducted last Wednesday morning near his home.  Etowah county Sheriff Todd Entrekin says his office is investigating..   Danielle Elrod says her son went outside to feed the dogs last Wednesday when he was forcibly  taken away by a man. She said the suspect drove off with her son and threw him out of the car about 2-miles away.  Sheriff Entrekin says they are gathering evidence saying they want to insure they do not charge an innocent person saying that conflicting accounts of the incident have been given to investigators.  While The family has filed a report with authorities, the sheriff says the family needs to understand they want to get at the truth .  Elrod says her son is having nightmares and is afraid to go out of the house by himself.  The family meanwhile is asking anyone with information to call the sheriffs office.
