New Principal named at Oxford High

Oxford High School will have a new principal.   The Oxford school board made the official announcement at a special called meeting Thursday night. Chris Cox, former Principal at Pinedale Elementary School in Enterprise will become the new principal july first.   The position became open after former principal Trey Holliday announced in May that he would be leaving to take the job of superintendant for Athens city Schools. Cox taught in the classroom for fifteen years and has been a principal for 8 years. Superintendant Jeff Goodwin says Cox’s experience and enthusiasm are perfect for the job.
