East Alabama has thawed out from last weeks snowfall and
everything returns to normal today as schools reopen after three days of
closings due to the freezing weather.
Fortunately students will not have to make up the missed days as the
governor declared a disaster. The
legislature after the april 2011 tornados passed legislation which does not
require days to be made up in the governor declares a disaster. All schools resume their regular schedules
today.
