Gadsden city schools name new principals

Emma Sansom Middle School and Mitchell Elementary School have new principals after their previous principals received promotions.  Craig Hines is officially the new principal at Emma Sansom after serving as interim principal since Sharon Maness became Gadsden City Schools’ special services and special education director. Hines previously served as an assistant principal at Emma Sansom while Maness was principal.  Roger Wilkinson starts as Mitchell Elementary’s new principal on Feb. 17. He replaces Russ Waits, who now is the principal of Gadsden City’s Ninth Grade Academy.  Wilkinson currently is principal at Ragland School in St. Clair County.
