Officials say An economic impact study on the issue of
Sunday alcohol sales in Gadsden is scheduled to be delivered next week but
Jacksonville State University will not be charging the Chamber of Gadsden and
Etowah county for the study. JSU
president Dr. Bill Meehan told the
chamber board Tuesday the study looking at the economic impact of Sunday alcohol
sales being done by the school’s Small Business Development Center would be
released Feb. 14 and the chamber would not be charged for the study. Meehan said he decided the university would
not charge for the study to avoid any impression of influence
