Because of school closures, all but two local girls
basketball sub-regionals have been pushed back until at least Friday. Faith
Christian coach Bradley Dawson said this afternoon the Lions are still set to
play at Skyline on this evening at 7 p.m. Also, Spring Garden girls coach Ricky
Austin said his team still is set to play Jefferson Christian at 7 p.m.
Friday. White Plains’ home game against
Ashville will be Saturday at 7 p.m,. Anniston girls coach and athletics
director Eddie Bullock said his team will play Friday and possibly host the
boys sub-regional game that night, too. Both the Anniston girls and boys are
set to host sub-regional contests. Bullock said no tip-off time has been
set. Ranburne coach Tim Smith said the
Bulldogs will play on the road against Lanett on Friday at 6 p.m., while
Jacksonville coach Ryan Chambless said his team will host Munford on Friday at
7 p.m. Woodland has postponed its home
game against LaFayette, but Bobcats coach Larry Strain said it's uncertain when
it will be replayed. Saks coach Michelle Lively said the Wildcats' sub-regional
game at Glencoe will be rescheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.
