Army National Guard members will perform a seven-mile foot
march at Talladega Superspeedway this Thursday, February 20. Soldiers attending
the Accelerated 57-day Officer Candidate School (OCS) are gearing up to once
again go for the finish line at the Superspeedway. The training is conducted by
the Alabama Military Academy/200th Regiment, located at the Ft. McClellan Army
National Guard Training Center.
Soldiers will attempt a seven-mile foot march under full
pack. It will start at Salem Baptist Church in Eastaboga at 1PM, and end at the
track. The seven-mile march is a requirement the soldiers must fulfill before
graduating from OCS.
