Gadsden police investigating shooting

Gadsden police are investigating the Wednesday night shooting of A 25-year-old man at Forest River Apartments.  The victim told police that another man, with whom he’d been fighting on and off over the last few days, drove to the apartment complex to start another fight with him. He said during the fight, the man pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg.  Police found the man sitting in the back seat of a passerby’s car. Authorities said witnesses had helped the victim into the car to take him to the hospital just before police arrived. The victim was treated by medics and taken to UAB Hospital as a precaution.  Police located and arrested the alleged shooter. The investigation is ongoing and charges may be pending.
