There’s a big change that will soon take place in Calhoun County’s administrative building. Thursday, at the county commission meeting, Ken Joiner, who has been the County Administrator for Calhoun County for more than 43 years, announced his plans to retire. The county commission announced that current E-M-A Director, Jonathan Gaddy, will replace Joiner as the county administrator. As Gaddy prepares to transition into his new role during the next 6 months, he says he is confident that the services of the E-M-A will not be unattended. And, also that his past experiences working with the team members of the Calhoun County government will help with the upcoming change. Joiner believes his official retirement will take effect on February 15th, 2015.
