Search underway for drowning victim

Authorities in St. Clair county are searching for a man who fell out of his boat Sunday on Logan Martin Lake.  More than 50 people participated in the recovery search for 48 year old Willie Hienz Cosby,  of Riverside.  Authorities say that Cosby fell out of his boat after reaching for something that fell from his small fishing boat at about 7:30 p.m., Sunday evening. His wife, Darla Roper, also fell out of the boat when the boat tipped to one side.  Mrs. Roper tried to reach her husband but failed and managed to swim to the west shore of the lake for help.  The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside Police and Fire and the Alabama Marine Police immediately launched a search Sunday.  The search area is just north of the Interstate 20 Bridge.  Officials say This appears to be the third drowning death on Logan Martin Lake this year.
