Child killed in dog attack



 Authorities in Riverside say a child was after being attacked by a dog Sunday afternoon.   Authorities say The 5-year-old child was outside with his brother when he was attacked by a pitbull on Honeysuckle Way. His brother then ran for help.  Riverside Mayor Rusty Jessup is upset over the death of 5-year-old John Harvard attacked by a neighbor's pitbull which was running at large when the attack happened.  Mayor Jessup said the 9-year-old tried to get the dog off his little brother before running to get their father. The Saint Clair County Sheriff's Office says the dog have been taken to a local animal clinic. Today, the DA and the Sheriff's Office will make a determination on what to do next.  The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office is still investigating. No charges have been filed. The state's forensics lab in Huntsville will conduct an autopsy.
