Albertville council approves new shopping center

The Albertville City Council on Monday unanimously approved moving forward with an economic development.  The agreement with Albertville Investment Partners calls for no less than a 90,000-square-foot shopping center, with the city responsible for up to $5 million of the $25 million cost. The center is expected to be 125,000 square feet, and will be about a block north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Alabama Highway 75, between Carlisle Street and Highland Avenue.
