Floyd Stephen Whiteside

The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals friday upheld the conviction of a Gadsden man convicted last year of sexually abusing a child. The court upheld the October 2013 conviction of Floyd Stephen Whiteside, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison by Etowah County Circuit Judge David Kimberley for sexually abusing a child when she was 7 and 9 years old.

The jury had deliberated for less than an hour before returning a verdict.
