Dekalb constable arrested on criminal charges

A business owner and DeKalb County constable was arrested Friday for home repair fraud, according to Fort Payne Police Chief Randy Bynum.

41 year old Kneely Brinston Pack,
of Fort Payne, owner of Pack and Son Construction, was charged with first-degree theft by deception, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and home repair fraud, a misdemeanor. Bynum said Pack is accused of taking money for a job and not completing the work.
Pack is also a constable, an elected official in DeKalb County. Constable, an elected office in about nine Alabama counties, is a civilian law officer.
