Deputies investigating gun theft in home burglary



Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the Monday  burglary of a Choccolocco Road home where a handgun and ammunition were reported to have been taken.  The resident told deputies that a window had been broken, and that a Smith & Wesson .380 caliber handgun, three boxes of ammunition and a holster were taken sometime between 4 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday.  The stolen items were valued at $500 according to the report and $200 in damage was done to the window.
