NTSB releases preliminary report on Colorado plane crash



The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on a Colorado plane crash that killed five people from Etowah County.
Pilot 48 year old James "Jimmy" Hill, 40 year old Katrina Barksdale, her two sons, Kobe, 11, and Xander, 8, and her nephew 14 year old Seth McDuffie, were killed in the crash March 22.
The report states that Hill was cleared to land in Montrose, Colo. when he told air traffic control he was in a spin and was trying to recover.
There was a light rain but 10 mile visability at the time. A complete report is expected to be released in about a year.
