Volunteers working to clean up Etowah tornado damage

Volunteers are pouring in to help storm victims in Etowah County's Smiths Institute community, near Sardis City.  The Red Cross estimates that 25 homes were destroyed in Monday night's storms and more than 100 more were damaged.  Officials say a volunteer center has been set up to dispatch volunteers to where they're needed within the disaster zone, and even give them wristbands that will allow them past law enforcement checkpoints.  The volunteer center is located in the fellowship hall at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on Sardis Road.  There's also a donation center set up on Highway 431 at 255 Main Street in Boaz. They are accepting food and personal items, but no clothing.
