Albertville head coach suspended pending investigation on claims of improper discipline

Albertville City Schools Superintendent Ric Ayer said Thursday that outside help is being brought in to investigate a claim of '"improper discipline" against head football coach Joel Poole.  Poole was placed on paid administrative leave Tuesday and will miss the Aggies' two remaining regular-season games, including tonights home game against Brewer.  Ayer said One complaint was filed with the school system regarding the alleged incident, which took place during a practice the week of Sept. 29.  Assistant coach Cliff Mitchell will serve as the interim head coach for tonights game and the regular-season finale against archrival Guntersville on Oct. 31. The Aggies (3-4) have been eliminated from playoff contention.
