Police investigating Talladega robberies

Talladega Police are investigating the robbery of a pizza deliveryman bearing several similarities to a robbery that occurred a week ago..
Police say  the robbers called Custom Pizza Saturday night and ordered pizza to a vacant lot on  Jackson Street. The driver had trouble finding the address before being approached by three black males wearing dark clothes.

The victim said one of the suspects acted like he was going to pay him, then felt what he believed to be a gun stuck in his back. The suspect demanded money.
The victim handed over the money bag, which also contained checks and credit cards receipts, as well as a small amount of his own cash, and the pizzas.
Police said the incident is similar to a robbery reported Oct. 6. In that case, the pizza was ordered from Domino’s, but was sent to the same vacant address. That victim also reported being approached by three black males, one with a handgun.
Anyone with information on either one of these incidents is asked to contact the Talladega Police Department at 256-362-4508 or call the city’s anonymous tip line at 256-299-0011.
