Friday fire victim dies from injuries

Authorities report that One of two people critically injured in a fire in a Coldwater mobile home in Oxford has died from her injuries.  

63 year old Terry Harris, died  Sunday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, according to Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown.

The victim’s husband, Michael Harris, was in good condition Monday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham

The fire broke out Friday at the mobile home on My Drive.

Oxford fire Chief Gary Sparks said the state Fire Marshal's Office will likely rule the fire an accident and its cause undetermined.

According to Mr. Harris there had been a small fire earlier caused by a cigarette,They thought the fire was out, but later on it evidently started back.

Harris’s body will be sent to a state forensics lab in Huntsville for an autopsy,.
