Dekalb shooting leaves Valley Head man dead



Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a Valley Head man dead, according to a news release from DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.
Deputies responded to a 911 call about 10 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on County Road 603. An argument between two men apparently resulted in one being shot.
40 year old Kenneth Shane Scott,  was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy was ordered by District Attorney Mike O'Dell, and Scott’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences’ lab in Huntsville. The alleged shooter has been identified and interviewed, according to the release, but no arrest has been made pending further investigation.
