Jacksonville opens new dog park

The city of Jacksonville opened the cities new dog park Saturday at Germania Springs Park.  Janis Burns, director of Parks and Recreation for the city, has been working on the dog park project for several years. As a cost-saving measure, city employees installed the fencing, ran the water line and built all the equipment a walkway, a tunnel, a hoop and other obstacles   for dogs to play with.
