Two arrested following chase in Etowah County

Etowah county sheriffs deputies have arrested Two individuals after they led deputies on a brief vehicle chase last week.
 22 year old Colton Tyler Lee Works, of Attalla, is charged with   attempting to elude, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
 20 year old Jonah Andrew Salers, of Albertville, is charged with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
 Works and Salers were spotted Thursday in the Duck Springs community by deputies  driving a gray SUV. Works is a suspect in a burglary case in Etowah County.
 The investigators identified the vehicle by the license plate and attempted to stop the vehicle when the chase began. When the SUV pulled into a driveway on Sand Valley Road, Works left the vehicle on foot and ran into a nearby field, then into a wooded area.
 Deputies arrived on scene to assist the investigators and soon after found Works laying down on the ground.
 The investigation concerning the burglary is ongoing.

Both suspects are being held in the Etowah County Detention Center. Works has a $6,000 bond. He was free on bond for a manufacturing charge in Marshall County. Salers does not have a bond because of a probation violation in Marshall County.
