Search continues for missing woman

Authorities are searching for a woman who vanished while at or near the Talladega Superspeedway during last weekend's races.  42 year old Theresa Benn,  was reported missing just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Lincoln Police Department Investigator Matt Hill. Benn, who also goes by Theresa Andrews and Theresa Dulaney, was last in Sunday's predawn hours on Speedway Industrial Drive in Lincoln.  Initially the Talladega County Sheriff's Office was investigating Benn's disappearance. The Calhoun County woman was last seen at the races wearing blue jeans, pink cowboy boots, a black tank top and a large, diamond-covered belt and buckle.  Authorities said Benn was with her husband prior to leaving him behind because she wanted to go to the races and he did not. Hill said investigators have not yet been able to determine whether she ever made it to Sunday's Geico 500. Hill said the case was transferred today to Lincoln police. He said it's too soon to tell whether foul play is suspected. Right now, Hill said they are  just working a missing person's casE.  Anyone with information on Benn's whereabouts is asked to call Hill at 205-763-4063.
