Authorities searching for Randolph County Escapee

Randolph County authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped Saturday from the county jail in Wedowee. 47 year old Roger Dale Gosdin, of Roopville, Ga., escaped from the Randolph County Jail between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday morining.Authorities say that Gosdin was last seen near County Road 133 and possibly is en route to Roopville, where his family lives. Gosdin is white; 6 feet, 2 inches tall; weighs about 220 pounds; and has gray hair and brown eyes. Gosdin was being held after pleading guilty in June to third-degree domestic violence. He was also serving time after his probation was revoked on several charges from 2004. Gosdin also is wanted in Roopville for unknown charges.
